“Trchkan” Waterfall Issued Passport

The passport of Trchkan waterfall has been confirmed as a natural monument according to Nature Protection Minister Aram Harutyunyan’s decree no. 293-N dated on 09.11.2012. “Trchkan” initiative group informs about this fact and congratulates everybody who took part in saving Trchkan from destruction. Reminder: in 2011 a small HPP should have been constructed on Trchkan waterfall, which would have led to the destruction of the waterfall. Activists undertook the protection of the waterfall, a natural monument. Many-month struggle resulted in recognizing the permitting documents, including the government decision, as null and void.
