Referring to issues of Lake Sevan Aram Harutunyan said, as of 24 December 2009 the lake level made up 1899.24 m, and this index is higher by 40 cm than that of the previous year, as the lake level on 24 December 2008 made up only1898.84 m.
This year the water outlet from the lake for irrigation purposes started from 11 June and continued until 17 September, but the Minister mentioned that water was let out on 30 and 31 October as well.
The total outlet made up 303 million square meter, and 199.356 square meter of water has flown into Lake Sevan from the beginning of the year till 23 December.

The industrial reserves of the whitefish haven’t been exhausted yet. This statement was made by the Minister of Nature Protection of RA Aram Harutyunyan to the journalists. Under him, the reserves of the whitefish haven’t changed in quantitative regard.
The Minister said that a great number of young fish have been revealed in Lake Sevan as a result of the investigations conducted. He added that precise calculation of this young fish will be conducted next year.
