Lori-region-based “Center for Community Mobilization and Support” NGO Director Oleg Dulgaryan disseminated the open letter of ACP" CJSC Staff to Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan, which says,

“Today or tomorrow our plant is on the verge of the closedwon, which is the only working place in our town and adjacent residential areas. We don’t want 630 households to deprive of their living means because of this uncertain status.

Respectable Mr. Pashinyan

Our staff and Alaverdi Town rely on the new elected government. The staff of “ACP” company is currently in uncertainty as we don’t know our future destiny. The employment at the company ensures the natural activity of Alaverdi Town. The closedown of the plant means migration of the residents in Alaverdi and adjacent areas. Most of the company employees have loan obligations. Already today the administration has instructed to stop the operation of reverberatory furnace, which technologically means that the cooling of the reverberatory furnace will generate an emergency state for the whole reverberatory furnaceand the smoke pipeline.

Dear Mr. Prime Minister,

The staff of “ACP” company is asking to take measures to solve the aforementioned problem, otherwise the population of Alaverdi Town will have to take drastic and unpredictable actions, which may be considered as intentional steps against our government.”
