On March 17 Scientific Research Center of Environmental Law held public discussions on the draft law “On making amendments and supplements in RA Law on Atmospheric Air”.
This draft has been amended and supplemented by Nature Protection Ministry and was submitted to the discussion of the National Assembly.
“So far we haven’t had the concept of atmospheric air and it was defined incompletely in the law in force. This draft law particularly lays down the concept of atmospheric air,” said Heghine Hakhverdyan, Lawyer at Scientific Research Center of Environmental Law.

‘The Armenian Government has laid a down a procedure for issuing a permit for emission, while according to the Constitution, Government decision can’t serve as a basis for limiting the procedure. And our rights and obligations must be in the frames of law,” said Aram Gabrielyan, “Khazer” NGO member and co-author of amendments in RA Law “On preserving Atmospheric Air”.
