In 2014 3797 trees will be felled down for the road construction in Yerevan, out of which 3568 will be fruit trees, 61 - timber and 168 are decorative trees. Artashat community will lose around 81% of all its fruit trees. This is what Land Acquisition and Resettlement Plan 1 (LARP) of Urban Sustainable Development Investment Program Tranche – 1 (Arshakunyats Avenue, Yerevan, and Artashat Alley) says. Three Land Acquisition and Resettlement Plans will be carried out for this road construction. LARP 1 will include the section of Arshakunyats Avenue, Yerevan, and Artashat Alley, LARP 2 – Argavand Alley and LARP 3 – Noragavit sections.
