On 4 June 2019, Amulsar protectors didn’t allow the employees of Lydian Armenia Company to enter the mine area thus keeping the roads running to Amulsar blocked for over one year. The police arrived to have the road opened: as Jermuk community resident Shirak Buniatyan informed EcoLur, after several hours of ineffective persuasion, the police having faced the resistance of around 500 Jermuk residents gave up and left: the employees of Lydian Armenia Company also left the area.
