There is a lesson and job strike in the town of Jermuk early in the morning of September 20 for the sake of Amulsar and Jermuk spa town rescue. So the locals are protesting against the operation of the Amulsar Gold Quartzite mine. Pupils from schools in Jermuk, Gndevaz and Kechut, employees of resort and restaurant complexes and various institutions joined the strike.
Today, students have gone to school without bags and textbooks, bringing flags and posters with Amulsar instead. The children, accompanied by teachers, marched to the area of the monument to the memory of Artsakh victims, demanding a rally to hold a protest rally, chanting "Lydian Leave", "Amulsar is Mountain". Along with the march of schoolchildren, a car rally is also underway in Jermuk, where participants also move to the monument site. Employees of various institutions in Jermuk also joined the march.
Speaking live, one of the adults accompanying the students noted that the children were eager to go on strike. "They also want to take part in the fight for Amulsar, and thus get their vote for Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan."
