As EcoLur was informed from Gndevaz, the hearings were held in quiet atmosphere and the residents accepted the project well. "People still don't realize the real size of the disaster, but in a several years not only Gndevaz, but the whole Vayots Dzor Region will protest against this program when they will realize the factual size of the damage," Gndevaz villager said. According to them, the villagers now give importance to the working places promised by the company. "This year they plan to have 800 working places and 1000 working places next year." The most noteworthy is the project amendments is that the company reduces the portion of using sodium cyanide. If the company planned to use 0.28 km for one ton of cyanic sodium, now it will use only 0.1 kg, according to the amended project.
