The Minister of Nature Protection of Armenia, Aramayis Grigoryan, received a German government-owned KfW Development Bank delegation led by Eva Witt, Bank Director for Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia.
Eva Witt, for her part, thanked for the close cooperation and positive assessment, and reflected on the joint projects - "Establishing Protected Areas in Javahkq Plateau in Armenia" and “Support to Specially Protected Areas in Armenia”.
Referring to Zangezour biospheric complex, Aramayis Grigoryan stated, “Though the experience of managing a complex of protected area in Armenia is new, we have essential progress in this field and we can say that Zangezour biospheric complex is a sustained structure as such.” Aramayis Grigoryan also informed that the works aimed at establishing “Tatev” National Park have already been launched, which will ensure the preservation of area ecosystems and rich biodiversity, as the Information and Public Relations Department of Nature Protection Ministry informs.
