On 4-5 June the ecotourism festival was held in Gomq and Martiros Communities, Vayors Dzor Region. During the festival information campaigns were held, as well as regional cycling championship, bird watching, tent camping, and visits to Martiros Nzav Mount and the local rock-built church. The local residents had an opportunity to organize exhibition-sale of their home-made food, wine and other items in open-air pavilions.
Vayots Dzor Regional Deputy Head Mels Harutyunyan welcomed all the participants of the festival on behalf of Vayots Dzor Regional head Harutyun Sargsyan and outlined that the nature and cultural monuments of Vayots Dzor are good grounds for the development of tourism in the region, which will help solving a number of issues.
