The photocamera installed in 'Arevik' National Park in Zangezour Biospheric Complex, Syunik Region, has caught a Caucasian Leopard kitten on its camera. 'Due to the monitoring activities of WWF-Armenia and Zangezur Biosphere Complex, the Caucasian Leopard has been recorded by our camera traps, which is probably one of the kittens of Yeva leopard, fixed by WWF earlier. It's the first time in our country when the kitten has been fixed, which is the best proof of the joint efforts of the Ministry of Nature Protection of RA, protected areas' staff and international organisations in southern Armenia,' the post of WWF Armenia says.
The Caucasian Leopard is red listed both in the IUCN and Armenia.
