A 9-kilometer-long eco-educational path will be established in Gndevaz residential area in Jermuk Community, Vayots Dzor Region, equipped with information signs on the area biodiversity.
These days the third stage of “BarevTrails” ecotourism project has launched in Armenia initiated by WWF Armenia and Wesser Foundation from Switzerland with the support 'Paths for Change' NGO.
The project is aimed at the development of ecotourism in protected areas of Armenia. Within the frames of this project, a camping site will be established in Gndevanq area, a toilet will be constructed, as well as other infrastructures necessary for ecotourism will be constructed.
On 26 May a group of 24 volunteers from Switzerland and Germany arrived in Armenia for one week to establish the eco-educational path joined by 15 volunteers from Armenia.
