Another alarm signal has been received from Gegharkounik, from “Areguni” NGO.

“The slopes of Miapor-Getik are burning eliminating the whole rich flora and fauna. If it continues like this, nothing will remain from our mountains, no flower or meadows, nothing. Only weeds. When forest is fell down, it’s clear felling is carried out due to poor life. When water is mercilessly used for SHPs, it’s clear somebody makes profit. But why to burn meadows: it’s lack of knowledge, indifference of local authorities or something else?” says the Chairman of “Areguni” NGO Gayane Khachatryan.
