For the purpose of developing ecotourism in Armenia, 35 volunteers having arrived from Germany, Spain and Switzerland together with their Armenian partners have established eco-educational paths and eco-touristic infrastructures in the protected landscape of 'Arpa' (previous Gnishik) in Vayots Dzor Region.

The volunteers have equipped and repaired the paths created in Arpa, installed information signs about the paths, area plants, animals, fungi and birds. An information stand has also been installed near Saint Bridge located near Yeghegnadzor through which the Silk Road ran through. A bridge has been built on the Gnishik River to reach Noravanq, have carried out entire marking of paths to get oriented in the area, cleaned the garbage in the area.

All these works have been carried out in the frames of 'BarevTrails' ecotourism project initiated by WWF Armenia and Wesser Foundation from Switzerland with the support 'Paths for Change' NGO.
