Industrial Hunting Extent Set for Water Bodies in Armenia for 2018

On 19 January RA Nature Protection Minister Artsvik Minasyan signed the decree on setting industrial hunting extents in the water bodies in the Republic of Armenia. The decree says, 'To set the following extents of industrial hunting of the following species in the water bodies in the Republic of Armenia for 2018 (except for the areas owned by natural and legal entities):

1. Carp – unlimited in all water bodies,

2. Crawfish – up to 500 tons in Lake Sevan. 

To Head of Agency for Bioresources of Staff of RA Nature Protection Ministry:

1. To set the term of the agreements on the use of fauna resources by 20 November 2018 to ensure the natural reproduction of the trout and whitefish species in their spawning season,

2. To set a clause in the agreements on the use of fauna resources, which says an environmental fee in the amount of 10-12% is designed to be paid estimated by the number of species set in the agreements for fishing other probable species in the given water body.
