There is a park in Hrazdan neighborhood. This is a public territory, where site development is conducted without any permits. In the same way, orchards and vegetable gardens have been set up in this territory, again without any permit. “The town authorities adopted a convenient decision for themselves, as there is no funding and the territory was left without care, it can be given to owners without even maintaining the primary significance of this territory.” The construction is currently in progress, but the category of the land areas hasn’t been changed. We don’t have any single garden, which has preserves its primary function,” said Hrazdan resident Mesrop Mesropyan.
The local residents having taken out children for a walk agreed to answer EcoLur’s questions without the camera, “Don’t our authorities know which conditions we live under?”, “Do you see the future of your children here, in Hrazdan?” – “If there is any opportunity, nobody will want to stay in this dust. Whoever has this opportunity, leaves the country and builds the future of their children in other place, where it is good.” – “What would like to change?” – “Let them plant trees and shrubs, so the air will become clean, beautify territories so as the children had somewhere to play. We would like to have at least one beautiful place, where we could go out for a walk at least for an hour and breathe in fresh air.”
