Jermuk Aldermen's Council To Discusss Petition on Making Jermuk Environmental and Economic Area and Banning Metallic Mining

The Aldermen's Council in Jermuk will invite a meeting in the near future to discuss the petition on making Jermuk Community an environmental and economic area and banning metallic mining, as Jermuk Mayor Vardan Hovhannisyan told Amulsar Protectors on 5 December, who was handed the petition with the signatures of 3000 residents.
Reminder: the petition is aimed at Amulsar gold mining project, which is implemented by Lydian International Company as represented by its subsidiary Lydian Armenia Company.
Jermuk Mayor Vardan Hovhannisyan said in his speech, 'We trust our government and let's see what the government will say. We won't go against the government not to substantiate it as a sabotage.

On 2 December, the same petition was handed by Amulsar Protectors to Acting PM Nikol Pashinyan, which visited Vayots Dzor Region in the frames of the election campaign.
