From 1 August 2014 the electricity price will increase from 35 AMD to 45 AMD, as the Public Services Regulatory Committee Chairman Robert Nazaryan said in his interview with the journalists at the National Assembly.

The Public Services Regulatory Committee presented the reasons for price increase, one of them is water lack in Ararat valley, particularly, drying of Sevjur River, which resulted in the need to drill additional deep wells to ensure reserve self-governance of water supply of Armenian Nuclear Power Plant.
