Round-table Discussion on Introduction of Socio-Ecological  Policy in Akhtala

On May 4, 2022, a roundtable discussion was launched at "Green Camp" eco-rural and

CSO tourism center in Akhtala enlarged community, Lori Region, initiated by " Center Community for Consolidation and Support" NGO and Akhtala Municipality within the frameworks of "Social and Ecological Responsibility" project.

The purpose of the discussion is to present and discuss the draft socio-environmental policy developed for the enlarged community, to collect proposals from local stakeholders on the policy.

The meeting was attended by Akhtala Community Head Arkady Tamazyan, Chair of "Center for Community Consolidation and Support" NGO Oleg Dulgaryan, the local government expert of "Social and Ecological Responsibility" project, Vice-president of "Union of Financiers of Armenia" NGO Abraham Artashesyan, and active residents of the community.

 “Social and Ecological Responsibility” project is carried out by the NGOs involved in "Social-Ecological Consortium” - “Center for Community Mobilization and Support”, “Martuni Women’s Community Council”, “New Horizons”, “EcoLur” and “Forests of Armenia” NGOs within the frameworks of The Data for Accountable and Transparent Action (DATA) project.

 “Data for Accountable and Transparent Action” (DATA) project is implemented by Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF) in a consortium with SOCIES Expert Centre NGO (Socies), Boon TV Foundation (Boon TV), Youth Cooperation Center of Dilijan NGO (YCCD) and Sose Women Issues NGO (Sose) co-created with and supported by United States Agency for International Development.
