The Republic of Armenia considers the development of sustainable energy as one of the components of ensuring the national safety, as Acting Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan said on 3 December at the international conference entitled, 'Armenia: Beacon for Expansion of Sustainable Energy' international conference. It is dedicated to the development of sustainable energy in Eastern Partnership countries. 'We attach much importance to the development of sustainable energy, promotion of the capacities of renewable energies, effective use of energy in all the branches of energy, integration with the energetic markets in the region. The development of sustainable energy is considered by the government not only as a prerequisite of safe, smart and competitive energy, but also as a prerequisite of the increase in human life, to ensure the availability and accessibility of contemporary energetic services for the citizens of Armenia as a mean to solve the environmental problems in the country and on the planet,' Tigran Avinyan said.
