The working group established under Armenian PM's decision 1177-Ա dated on 5 September 2018 examining the operation of SHPPs had finished its mission and submitted proposals for the consideration of Armenian Premiere's staff on 5 October. EcoLur was informed about this by Acting Chief Secretary of RA Nature Protection Ministry Vahe Jilavyan with his letter N 5/18-1/52286 dated on 7 November in reply to EcoLur's letter addressed to Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan. On 10 September 2018 EcoLur addressed a letter to the Premiere, where EcoLur proposed to include the representatives of the civil society and experts of UNDP/GEF-supported "Support to SHPP-relating reforms through the dialogue of public and RA Nature Protection Ministry for Sustainable Use of River Ecosystems” and "Supporting new reforms in SHPP sector through CSO-government dialogue" project implemented by EcoLur 2014-2018 in the working group.
Reminder: the working group had been established to examine comprehensively the circumstances of the incompliance with SHPP operations, production of electricity and its delivery to ENA and to detect probable violations and to take statutory measures.
It should be mentioned that EcoLur received this letter two months after sending its letter to the Armenian Premiere when the SHPP working group had already finished its operation for about a month.
