March 14 is World Rivers Day

On March 14, the world celebrated International Day of Action for Rivers: the day was earlier known as International Day against Dams, for Rivers, Water, and Life. One of the problems of rivers in Armenia is also pollution. The rivers are polluted with sewage, solid household waste, industrial wastewater.

According to the 3rd National Communication on Climate Change in Armenia, river flow will decrease by 11.9% by 2030, by 24% by 2070, and by 37.8% by 2100.
