A 20 kW solar power plant has been installed on the roof of the Noyemberyan enlarged community’s culture house. It will produce about 25,000 kWh of electricity per year.
By September, it is planned to install and operate another four stations with a total capacity of 80 kW, two out of which will be installed on the pumping stations supplying drinking water to the Barekamavan border settlement.
The project is implemented by Armenia Territorial Development Fund (ATDF) through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) under the Local Government Reform Program. The total cost of the program is 30 million AMD.
