Armenian Government Continues Backing Construction of Solar Stations in Armenia

On June 25, the executive granted a permit to SOLAR FARM LLC to build a solar station, exonerating the raw materials and materials imported by the company from customs duties. It is planned to invest a total of about 1 billion 873 million AMD for the purchase of goods, and the rest will be directed at the construction of a solar station: 5 permanent and 50 temporary new jobs will be created with an average salary of 100,000 AMD.

Electricity worth around 254.3 million AMD will be produced annually. Last week, the executive granted a license to “Clean Energy” LLC, exonerating from customs duties on raw materials, and postponed the payment of VAT for three years.

The company has invested 40 million AMD in acquiring a land area in Vayots Dzor Region. It is envisaged to invest 430 million AMD for the implementation of construction works and an investment of 1.5 billion AMD for the purchase of equipment. Currently, there are 3 jobs with an average salary of 88,000 AMD. In 2021, it is planned to create 5 new jobs with an average salary of 150,000 AMDElectricity worth around 245 million AMDwill be produced annually, which will be entirely realized in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
