Cases of abuse by the officials of State Environmental Inspection have been detected in the criminal case investigated by Chief Investigation Department of PIC of Investigative Committee such as illegal tree felling with the knowledge and permission of foresters, bribery. 10 people have been charged.

Under the preliminary examination, individual officials of State Environmental Inspection of RA Nature Protection Ministry, who were involved in the groups carrying out inspections in a number of forestry enterprises in 'ArmForest' SNCO in 2016-2017, didn't perform their obligations properly, moreover, they eliminated the lists drawn up in the course of the inspections in these forestry enterprises, while obviously false information had been inserted into the inspection acts, which are official documents, drawn up as a result of the inspections, thus reducing the number of illegally cut down trees and the extent of caused damage having been detected in these forestry enterprises, while in some cases, illegally cut down trees hadn't been recorded at all. Besides that, factual information had been obtained that foresters of 'Artsvaberd Forestry Enterprise' and 'Syunik Forestry Enterprise' received bribes of large extents for performing these obviously illegal actions; four such cases have already been detected. The investigation has already revealed a number of bribery cases by citizens to different foresters.

Based on the obtained evidence, ex-deputy head of State Environmental Inspection of RA Nature Protection Ministry was charged and now he is in a search.
