Yerevan Municipality has responded to the letter addressed by the representatives of the civil society to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, RA Prosecutor General Arthur Davtyan and Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan demanding an immediate halt to the site development carried out by Park Group LLC in Dalma Gardens.
According to the municipality, there were no monuments and protection zones in the construction documents, and the function of exploring early buildings and assessing historical values is beyond the jurisdiction of Yerevan Community.
“Yerevan Municipality issued Design Permit 01/ 18-07/2-56264-717 still on 26.10.2018 to “Park Group” LLC at address 31, Monte Melkonyan str., Malatia-Sebastia District, for the construction of children's, youth, family recreation and leisure center on a land area of 27.66 hectares.
Then, on 24.12.2018 the expert assessment certifying the conformity of the construction norms to those of in force in the Republic of Armenia was submitted by “Expert MEK” LLC and positive conclusion AB-01 of “Environmental Impact Expertise Center SNCO” was issued on 09.01.2019.
