Within the frames of combating illegal tree felling, policemen from Tumanyan Division stopped the car driven by Samvel M. born in 1987 on the road in Qarinj Village at about 20:00 on 20 April, which was loaded with around 0.6 cum of timber, as the official website of the Armenian Police informs.
Samvel M. didn’t provide any relevant documents for the timber and informed that the timber belongs to him and he cut it from a wind-fallen oak tree in the forest adjacent to Qarinj Village on 19 April 2019.
The car loaded with the timber has been transferred to the specially protected area of Tumanyan Division of Police: a professional examination has been appointed and materials are being prepared.
