A citizen called the police at 03:50 on 9 July and informed he had noticed from 10 to 15 trucks loaded with timber on the slope of Dilijan. The Police Head was informed about this alarm signal who assigned the police divisions to proceed to daily enhanced service, to set movable sentry posts and to detect the cases of illegal tree felling.
32 trucks loaded with timber were detected from 10 to 11 June in the different parts of the republic due to the measures taken by the different divisions of the police, out of which the drivers of 9 trucks didn’t present any relevant documentation. According to the initial data, around 19 cum illegal timber and 460 bags of illegal charcoal were detected in these trucks.
