The Municipality of Yerevan rejected the project of Spandaryan tuff and basalt mine development presented by "Central Estate" LLC in Ajapnyak district. Gayane Melkomyan, a member of "My Step" faction of Yerevan Aldermen's Council, posted about this on her Facebook page.
"Based on the results of public hearings, the Mayor of Yerevan has made a decision not to consent to the development of a new tuff and basalt mine in Ajapnyak. Accordingly, today the applicant was rejected by the community,” Gayane Melkomyan posted.
Reminder: the residents and environmentalists of Ajapnyak district opposed the new mining project in Ajapnyak during public hearings held on January 22, 2020.
