Ardvi Community Residents Didn’t Let “Miram” LLC Enter The Village

Ardvi Village Residents, Lori Region, didn't allow to hold hearings on Shekaghbyur gold-polymetallic mining project and didn't allow 'Miram' Company to enter their village. The hearings should have been held on 26 June. The residents blocked the road leading to the village till 12, when the cars of 'Miram' Company approached the village. After waiting for an hour the cars left, together with the representatives of RA Nature Protection Ministry. Earlier the residents of Artvi had organized signature collection against Shekaghbyur gold-polymetallic mine geoprosecting works. They stated their main water springs and pastures have been endangered, which are located in the area of Shekaghbyur. Details are to be followed.
