Court Accepted Claim Filed by Jermuk Residents and Environmentalists against Deputy PM Tigran Avinyan into Proceedings

Yerevan City Court of First Instance will hear the claim against Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan filed by Jermuk citizens and environmentalists demanding denial of information considered to be slander.

The case will be tried by Judge Daniel Mkheyan. 15 plaintiffs of this case are demanding from court to obligate Deputy PM to refute the statement made on 22 October in Tbilisi, which says "... There are people directly connected with the mining businessmen in the Republic of Armenia who were investing considerable financial resources to make this (editor: organized (Amulsar) campaign”. 

The 15 citizens who filed a lawsuit against the Deputy Prime Minister are Tehmineh Yenokyan, Ani Khachatryan, Arthur Grigoryan, Levon Galstyan, Arkady Grigoryan, Mihrdat Nersisyan, Gagik Grigoryan, Tehmine Hunanyan, Susanna Margaryan, Henry Harutyunyan, Asqanaz Hovhannisyan, Boris Khachatryan, Gor Ayvazyan, Anna Shahnazaryan and Milena Baghdasaryan.
