In case of any catastrophes, the whole responsibility for ANPP, population protection and the control is vested on Energy and Natural Resources Ministry of Armenia. The strategy lays down the consequences of the largest catastrophe in recent years – Spitak quake in 1988, where about 25,000 people died and 517,000 were left without any shelter.
