On 22 May 2019, Deputy Nature Protection Minister Ayser Ghazaryan handed in a letter of resignation to RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, as he posted on his Facebook page writing that the processes occurring in the field of the environment, including actions and measures carried out and to be carried out don’t comply with his principles and action mode.

“Respectable Prime Minister,

Taking into consideration the fact that the processes occurring in the field of the environment, including actions and measures carried out and to be carried out don’t comply with his principles and action mode whereas in this case the effective performance of my powers becomes incomplete or impossible, so I find that my further functioning at Nature Protection Ministry is not expedient so my request is to resign from the office I am holding,” Ayser Ghazinyan wrote.
