RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Suren Papikyan announced at the year-end press conference that Kotayq-Gegharkunik large landfill site project will be implemented.
“We have been able to announce a competition at this stage, and January 20 is the deadline for different companies to participate in the program. In other words, we will have garbage collection centers in large towns of Kotayq and Gegharkunik, where garbage will be collected and dumped by cars in a large landfill site Kotayq-Gegharkunik near Hrazdan. The garbage will be sorted there,” the minister said.
According to Papikyan, garbage disposal is one of the key areas that will be one of the most important challenges for the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure and the general public in 2020.
