In the frames of the administrative proceedings initiated by RA Nature Protection and Soil Inspection Body for the purpose of detection of the reasons for the pollution in Masis Town and adjacent areas, the Inspection took measures to find out whether the industrial wastes of the enterprises operating in this area exceed the permissible concentration of the chemicals, which are dumped into the sewage drainage system and become the reasons for atmospheric pollution.

As it has been found out that the locals have broken the sewage drainage system pipelines, blocked it with sandbags so as the water rises and they irrigated their fields and orchards with this water, which has double affected the atmospheric and environmental pollution. In order to detect the sources of the pollution, water and air basin samples are regularly taken from the different parts of this area for lab analyses. On 10 October another sampling was carried out from the same observation hole, which is currently undergoing lab analysis.

Head of RA Nature Protection and Soil Inspection Body Yeghish Terteryan held a working consultation on 12 October, where they compared the findings of the analytic examination of the samples, examines the entire sewage system network, discussed illegal joining the sewage system, which also hinders the investigation. During the consultation, a decision was reached to carry out sampling along the entire length of the sewage pipeline.
