Thirteen people have been involved as accused-on-trial within the scope of the criminal case instituted in relation to the disturbances, violence against police officers and acts of hooliganism during the protests in Armenia’s Ijevan.
Earlier we had informed that in the evening of 17 July, there was a clash between the protesters and the policemen in Ijevan Town, Tavush Region. The Tavush residents had blocked Yerevan-Ijevan interstate road complaining against the reinforcement of the regime against illegal tree felling, violated the public order intentionally and exercised dangerous violence.
