Armenia received a grant of about US $ 1,000,000 from the Global Environment Facility. It will be aimed at increasing Armenia's transparency in fulfilling Armenia's commitments under the Paris Climate Agreement.
Within the framework of the agreement, Armenia undertook to limit greenhouse gas emissions to 633 million tons and increase the country's forest cover to 20.1% by 2050 within 35 years, according to the INDC.
According to another communication, the Green Climate Fund (GCF) has approved funding for the RA Environment Ministry's "Support and Assistance to Preparation" grant program for $ 660,000. It will be aimed at promoting "green" funding in Armenia and supporting the formation of a more favorable environment.
