During the coming week highest temperature will be recorded in the area of the Republic of Armenia. Gagik Surenyan, deputy director of meteorological center of Hydrometservice of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia, told NEWS.am about this stating that on November 22 there was already a record in a number of regions of Armenia.
The highest temperature was recorded in Kapan, it was 22 degrees (so far the highest temperature has been recorded in 1966, it was +21.6 degrees), and 20.5 degrees was recorded in Ijevan (in 1963 20.3 degrees was recorded) which is 7-10 degrees higher than the norm. In Ararat Valley and Yerevan the air temperature varies from 13 to 14 degrees as a result of cold air stagnation.
