RA Ministry for Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources informs that from 5 May 2018 to 17 November 2018 128 companies having the right to soil mining received a written warning, out of which 12 develop metallic mines, 112 – not metallic and 2 mineral water.
As of 1 December, around 360 million AMD had been levied out of which around 93 million AMD as state duties, 80 million as environmental fees, 30 million for monitoring and 183 million to ensure social mitigation measures in the communities.
Motions on termination of soil management permits against 35 companies have been filed based on non-elimination of the violations in set periods of time laid down in the written notifications. The soil management permits of 10 companies have been terminated, the process against 21 companies is still in progress (including 4 metallic ones), while the administrative proceedings against 4 companies have been terminated based on eliminating the grounds laid down in the written notifications.
