In reply to the posts on the social networks on the recorded illegally felled down tree stubs found in the area of Dilijan National Park, RA Nature Protection Ministry informs that 96 pieces of felled down trees had been detected by the employees of “Haghartsin” section of Dilijan National Park still two weeks ago. They were fallen deadwood, which had stayed there at least for 2 months. For technical reasons (rainy season), the employees of the national park didn’t have any opportunity to transfer the stubs to the administrative area of the national park. The law enforcement bodies have been informed about this fact and relevant minutes had been drawn up by the employees of Dilijan section,” the explanation of RA Nature Protection Ministry says.
Reminder: on 13 March photos of the felled down trees in Dilijan National Park were posted on the Facebook page of “Environmentalist’s House”.
