Part of Ex Minister in Criminal Case Investigating Apparent Abuses in Environment Ministry Separated and Sent to SIC

The General Investigation Department of VIC of RA Investigative Committee, as a result of large-scale investigative and other judicial actions in the criminal case under investigation in connection with the abuses committed in RA Ministry of Nature Protection, obtained data on causing significant damage to the legitimate interests of the state by the relevant officials of the ministry, which negligently caused severe consequences.

It turned out that the former Minister of Nature Aram Harutyunyan, allegedly abusing his official position and violating the requirements of the relevant legal acts, issued a water use permit to one of the HPPs operating in Armenia.

The part on the mentioned official was separated from the criminal case and sent to RA Special Investigative Committee according to the investigative subordination, as the official website of the RA Investigative Committee informs.
