Special Devices Recording Landslides Will Be Placed in Tavush, Syunik, Kotayq and Yerevan

Special devices recording landslides will be placed in Tavush, Syunik, Kotayq and Yerevan, as the Minister of Emergency States Armen Yeritsyan informed “Armenpress” news agency. He mentioned these devices can record even one millimeter of land movement, which are obtained due to Armenian-Japanese cooperation. Under the Minister, 10-15% of the Armenian territory is landslide, and 100 out of 330 landslide zones are active.
Reminder: on 10 July the Armenian Government approved the landslide disaster management concept, and the Ministry of Emergency States was assigned to present the action plan aimed at adopting necessary legal acts needed for the consideration of the Armenian Government.
The aim of the concept is to create a landslide disaster management system in the Republic of Armenia and to run a proper policy.
