The National Assembly discusses the membership agreement of Armenia to the Eurasian Union. The largest public forum opposing to the conclusion of this agreement is the Armenian National Platform of Civil Society Forum of EU Eastern Partnership. A few days ago the Armenian delegation returned from Batumi, where at the sixth meeting of the EaP CSP ANP the Armenian delegation with its counterparts discussed the perspectives of the Eastern Partnership and the role of non-governmental organization in them. To what extent the cooperation of Armenia and EU will be beneficial in the context of Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and what will the nature of Armenian membership to EaP CSP have? What kinds of issues were discussed in Batumi and what kind of decisions were adopted? What was the effect of the scandal in the Azerbaijani press over the exhibition on the violations of human rights on the atmosphere of the meeting? EcoLur Press Club will host Yerevan Press Club Chairman Boris Navasardyan and EaP CSP ANP newly-appointed coordinator Michael Hovhannisyan, who will cover these issues.
The press conference will be held at 12:00 on 3 December at EcoLur Press Club (49 Hanrapetutyan St.).
