Alternative economy and working places instead of mining industry: Teghout and Shnogh villagers, where Teghout mine is developing its infrastructures, are disappointed with the promises of Vallex Group about better life. The sociological studies of “Socioscope” NGO carried out with “Teghout Support” civic initiative show this tendency. The initiative is implementing a pilot project on introducing “green economy” into these villages.
Honey, forest berries, ecologically pure products will be presented at the rural fair on 7 September next to Teghout Forest. EcoLur Press Club will host Lena Nazaryan and Evelina Gyulkhadanyan, the members of “Teghout Support” civic initiative, will speak about the findings of the sociological studies, conflict of interests between ‘green’ economy and mining industry. The press conference will be held at 11:00 a.m. on 5 August at 49 Hanrapetutyan Street.
