Armenia is a country of extinct volcanoes. Whether dormant volcanoes can become active again? Whether the risks of volcanic activities are predictable? Whether volcanic activities jeopardize to the Armenia nuclear power plant, if yes, whether safety measures exist and to what extinct they are effective? Which area in Armenia is more active in volcanoes? Whether global statistics on volcanoes exists and what are its findings? Whether there any data available, which show what the damage caused to humanity by volcanoes is and how the volcanoes are beneficial? EcoLur press Club will host Khachatur Meliksatyan, Head of Volcanology Department of Institute of Geological Sciences of NAS RA, and Sergey Karapetyan, Chief Researcher at Volcanology Department of Institute of Geological Sciences of NAS RA, who will talk about their observations over volcanoes and will answer the questions. The press conference will be held at 12:00 on 26 September at EcoLur Press Club (49 Hanrapetutyan Street).
