In recent 50 years the air temperature in Armenia has raised by 1.1 degree. According to the forecasts of the scientists, the further climate changes will occur faster, which is a direct consequence of human activities. Forest felling, different factories, power plants and human activities promoted climate change, which is the main disaster of the 21st century.
To mitigate the consequences of global warming, WWF Armenia is implementing 'EU ENRTP Caucasus - Increasing the resilience of forest ecosystems against climate change in the South Caucasus Countries through forest transformation' project funded by the European Union.
