On October 30, 2025, a conference dedicated to organizing the election process of the civil society representatives of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) Multi-Stakeholder Group (MSG) of the Republic of Armenia took place at EcoLur Press Club.
The conference was attended by Sona Ayvazyan, Executive Director of Transparency International Anti-Corruption Center NGO; Nazeli Vardanyan, Director of Forests of Armenia NGO; Oleg Dulgaryan, President of Center for Community Consolidation and Support NGO, and the organization’s representative Ani Avetisyan; Victorya Burnazyan, Vice President of EcoLur Informational NGO, and Kristina Ter-Matevosyan, organization representative; Artur Grigoryan, President of EcoRight NGO; Shavarsh Margaryan, President of Citadel NGO; Anna Sargsyan, representative of RSM Armenia NGO; Hripsime Kocharyan, President of Successful Woman NGO; Arpine Khachatryan, President of Core Youth and Community Development Center NGO of Aygezard; Knarik Grigoryan, expert from Armenian Women for Health and Healthy Environment NGO; Arsen Arsenyan, President of Healthy Environment NGO; and Hasmik Aslanyan, President of Shogher Union Social-Educational NGO.
EITI Armenia MSG civil society representatives Sona Ayvazyan, Nazeli Vardanyan, Oleg Dulgaryan, and Victorya Burnazyan presented the work carried out within the MSG.
Sona Ayvazyan also presented the draft amendment to “Procedure for Formation of Civil Society Group of EITI Multi-Stakeholder Group of the Republic of Armenia, nomination, election, and termination of powers of members and alternate members.”
It was agreed to provide time for civil society representatives to study the draft amendments in detail and submit suggestions. Considering that no proposals or comments were received within the given timeframe, the draft procedure was deemed adopted.
During the conference, an Election Commission was formed, which has begun organizing the election process for civil society members of Armenia’s EITI Multi-Stakeholder Group.
