Strict Supervision To Be Exercised in Lake Sevan and Entire Territory in Armenia from 20 December to 20 January

From 20 December 2018 to 20 January 2019 strict supervision will be exercised in Lake Sevan and the entire territory in Armenia, as RA Nature Protection Ministry informs.

The access of any boat to Lake Sevan is banned to ensure the natural reproduction of the trout and the whitefish in their spawning time period. Strict supervision will be exercised in all the forest roads zoning Sevan where checkpoints have been installed, 24/7 shifts are arranged to keep in continuous touch with the law enforcement bodies.

All the boards, hunting tools, and temporary accommodations have been taken out of the territory of Sevan National Park over the period of the ban.

The probable permits of the legal fishing of the whitefish are checked to ensure the efficient progress of preservation measures.
