In 2013 no tree planting will be held in “Sevan” national park. Gavar Aarhus Center Coordinator Liana Asoyan made a request to “Sevan” National Park to get information how much tree planting is planned in the national park this year and what tree species will be held. In reply to this request “Sevan” national park director Ashot Gndoyan informed that no tree planting is planned in the territory of “Sevan” National park for 2013. The state complex program on the recovery, preservation, reproduction and natural development and usage of Lake Sevan ecosystem for 2013 doesn’t lay down any clause on reforestation. It speaks about forest cleaning works, which stipulates cleaning of around 122.5 ha forest layers and 12,5400,000 AMD will be allotted from the state budget for this purpose. The state budget stipulates 18,3174,500 AMD for the preservation of “Sevan” national park, conducting research there.
