RA Nature Protection Ministry has confirmed: Lake Sevan has a negative balance. 'As of 25.12.2017, the level of Lake Sevan made up 1900.42 meters, which had decreased by 0.05 meters as compared with the same day last year (1900.47 m),' says the press release on the main results achieved by RA Nature Protection Ministry for 2017.
Under this source, 266.757 million m3 water was let out of Lake Sevan for irrigation purposes, which is more by 99.622 million m3 that the indicator for the last year. As of 28 December 2017, around 109.290 million m3 water flew into Lake Sevan through Arpa-Sevan aqueduct, which is less by 10.559 m3 than the figures for the last year. The transparency of Lake Sevan water was 13 meters in 2017.
